Eric is the former President & CEO of the YMCA of Greater Indianapolis.
He started going to the Y when he was in high school, became an executive director of a branch at 22 years-old and worked for the organization for 42 years. He has a long list of accomplishments during that time including doubling the number of Greater Indianapolis Y members, nearly doubling the association’s annual budget, and doubled the number of locations. And he’s still working on projects with the Y in his retirement.
In this episode, you’ll hear Eric tell us about how he got started with the Y and how he made his way to Indianapolis, some of the unique programs that the organization offers that were implemented during his time as CEO, and how setting goals and making a plan to reach them was an integral part to his career.
